Mascots 2.0 Regional Transit Coordination and Proposed Route Changes
Petaluma Transit is cutting back weekday fixed-route hours to end at 6 p.m. and eliminating weekend fixed routes starting August 10 due to budget and staffing shortages. To help fill the gap, LumaGo microtransit is expanding citywide as "Access by LumaGo" but will be fully co-mingled with paratransit riders, meaning significantly longer wait times for regular riders.
Primary Influent Pump Station (PIPS) Parallel Force Main Project
Petaluma is building a new 2.5-mile wastewater force main to back up a 50-year-old pipe that currently has no redundancy. This $34.5 million project will prevent catastrophic sewage spills and give the city flexibility for future repairs.
